A pressure pump that short-cycles or won’t cut out is often a failed pressure switch or a waterlogged accumulator tank rather than the pump itself, which is a much cheaper fix than most people expect. It can also be a partly blocked inlet screen, a leaking suction line drawing air, or simply a tank lower than you think after a dry run. We’ll test it properly instead of selling you a new pump, and if pressure is dropping inside the house rather than at the tank, this is worth a read first.
