Cedar Vale is properly rural, and out here the question isn’t just whether you have water – it’s what’s in it. A lot of Cedar Vale properties run on bores, and bore water in this area often carries iron and mineral content that quietly wrecks things: staining fixtures, clogging filters and aerators, scaling hot water elements and shortening the life of appliances that were never designed for it. Half the jobs we’re called to as “low pressure” or “failing hot water” are actually water quality problems.
Alongside that it’s the standard rural picture done at scale – tanks, pressure pumps, on-site wastewater systems, and long buried runs where a leak stays invisible until the paddock gives it away. Big established trees find older drainage lines reliably. We work all through this pocket, including Woodhill, Mundoolun, Cedar Grove and up to Jimboomba, where we’re based.

You approve the price before we pick up a tool. No hourly meter running, no bill shock.
A real person answers after hours, not a call centre that books you in for next week.

My experience with Do Some Plumbing was extremely satisfying. Adam took the trouble to research my unusual plumbing requirements, and he and Ethan had the job completed in a very short time. It is worth noting that I had contacted very many plumbers over a period of 5 months, and none was interested in undertaking the work. I cannot speak highly enough of their customer service standards.

I have a really simple expectation when I hire any tradesman. Show up when you say. Explain the method and the risks of the task. Communicate as needed. Complete the task. Leave my property in the same condition or better than you found it.
Every time the guys showed up they did exactly that, and made no fuss at all about doing the work. They didn’t inflate the difficulty to justify the cost, and were completely honest the whole time.
I would gladly recommend them to anyone.

Tell us what's going on, we answer 24/7 for emergencies.
We quote before we start, you approve the cost, no surprises later.
Licensed local plumbers fix it fast and leave your place clean.

No two rural jobs price the same, so we don’t pretend otherwise. Replacing a tap, rebuilding a pressure pump, adding filtration to a bore supply and locating a leak along a buried run are separate pieces of work at separate prices. Each gets a fixed figure in writing before we start, with travel already included.
Free, no-obligation quotes. Where water quality is the underlying issue, we’ll say so rather than replacing the fixture that’s showing the symptom — a new hot water system fed by untreated bore water will fail the same way the last one did, and that’s a conversation worth having before you spend the money.
Do Some Plumbing services homes and businesses across the Logan, Gold Coast, Brisbane & Ipswich. If you’re nearby, there’s a good chance we can get to you quickly.
If you’re not sure whether you’re within the service area, the easiest thing to do is give us a quick call. We’ll let you know straight away and point you in the right direction if you’re just outside our usual coverage.
Yes. Plumbing problems don’t always happen at convenient times. Burst pipes, overflowing toilets, and major leaks need attention quickly.
If something urgent happens, call and we’ll do our best to get a plumber out as soon as possible to stop the damage and get things under control.
It depends on where you’re located and what the schedule looks like that day.
Because we’re based in Logan, we’re already working in the surrounding suburbs most days. That means many jobs can be booked the same day, especially if you’re nearby.
For urgent problems like burst pipes, major leaks, or overflowing toilets, our priority is getting someone out quickly to stop the damage.
The best thing to do is give us a call, explain what’s happening, and we’ll let you know how soon we can get a plumber out to you.
Yes – a plumber answers 24/7. Shut the water off at the tank or bore pump isolation valve before you call if you can; out here a burst line will drain a tank fast and can run a bore pump until it damages itself. Then tell us your setup and we’ll bring the right gear. Emergency work here is usually pump or supply related.
Usually inside the hour – we’re based at Jimboomba, just up the road, so this isn’t an outlying trip for us. Gates, long driveways and wet-weather access are the usual variables; flag them on the phone and we’ll allow for them.
Cedar Grove, Woodhill, Munruben, Mundoolun, Jimboomba, South Maclean and out toward Beaudesert. Full coverage on our service areas page.
Yes, 24/7 all year, and both the after-hours element and the rural travel are inside the fixed quote. No country surcharge appearing at the bottom of the invoice. Non-urgent jobs we’ll book into normal hours because it costs you less.
Yes, free and no obligation. On big blocks we’ll be upfront that diagnosis is sometimes the job — so it’s quoted separately from the repair. That’s how you avoid paying for a new pump when the fault was a pressure switch, or a new hot water system when the real problem was the water going into it.
Card, EFTPOS or bank transfer, with staged payments on larger jobs like tank and pump work or a wastewater upgrade. And yes, please do check – we hold QBCC licence 15301995 and you can verify it yourself on the QBCC licensee register. Rural areas attract more than their share of unlicensed operators.
Usually, yes, and it’s a filtration question rather than a plumbing failure. Iron and mineral content is common in bore water through this area, and left untreated it stains basins and laundry, blocks aerators and shower roses, and scales up hot water elements until the unit fails early. The right treatment depends on what’s actually in your water, so it starts with knowing that rather than guessing at a filter – and it’s cheaper than replacing appliances repeatedly.
Logan City – which catches a lot of people out, given how rural it feels and how close Beaudesert is. It matters practically: water and wastewater matters, plumbing approvals and any concealed leak remission on your account go through Logan City Council, not Scenic Rim. We deal with both councils regularly, so we’ll handle whichever paperwork applies to your job rather than leaving you to work it out.
