Chambers Flat has a growing history in it that most suburbs don’t. Turf farms and market gardens shaped these blocks, and a lot of properties still carry the plumbing that came with them: large-diameter poly mains running to nowhere in particular, irrigation systems bolted onto domestic supply over the years, troughs, and standpipes that nobody’s isolated in a decade. When something lets go on a system like that, the hard part is often working out what connects to what.
That layered history creates one issue worth taking seriously – irrigation and stock water connected to potable supply without proper backflow prevention, which is both a real contamination risk and a compliance problem. Beyond that it’s the familiar rural-residential mix: tanks, pressure pumps, on-site wastewater and long buried runs hiding leaks. We’re through Munruben, Park Ridge, Marsden and Logan Reserve constantly.

You approve the price before we pick up a tool. No hourly meter running, no bill shock.
A real person answers after hours, not a call centre that books you in for next week.

Really happy with Do Some Plumbing’s work on our bathroom renovation. They were knowledgeable and experienced, prompt and reliable. Great communication. Great care was taken by Dan to achieve what we wanted. We’re so happy with our bathroom and would recommend Do Some Plumbing for any plumbing needs

My experience with Do Some Plumbing was extremely satisfying. Adam took the trouble to research my unusual plumbing requirements, and he and Ethan had the job completed in a very short time. It is worth noting that I had contacted very many plumbers over a period of 5 months, and none was interested in undertaking the work. I cannot speak highly enough of their customer service standards.

I have a really simple expectation when I hire any tradesman. Show up when you say. Explain the method and the risks of the task. Communicate as needed. Complete the task. Leave my property in the same condition or better than you found it.
Every time the guys showed up they did exactly that, and made no fuss at all about doing the work. They didn’t inflate the difficulty to justify the cost, and were completely honest the whole time.
I would gladly recommend them to anyone.

Tell us what's going on, we answer 24/7 for emergencies.
We quote before we start, you approve the cost, no surprises later.
Licensed local plumbers fix it fast and leave your place clean.

It depends on the job, and on these blocks it sometimes depends on what previous decades left behind. A tap or a hot water changeover is simple to price. Tracing and rationalising an irrigation system that’s been added to five times over thirty years takes a bit of detective work first. Either way, the price is fixed in writing before we start.
Free quotes with no obligation. Where the work involves mapping what’s actually there, we quote that separately — and it’s usually money well spent, because knowing where your lines and isolation valves run saves you far more the next time something fails.
Do Some Plumbing services homes and businesses across the Logan, Gold Coast, Brisbane & Ipswich. If you’re nearby, there’s a good chance we can get to you quickly.
If you’re not sure whether you’re within the service area, the easiest thing to do is give us a quick call. We’ll let you know straight away and point you in the right direction if you’re just outside our usual coverage.
Yes. Plumbing problems don’t always happen at convenient times. Burst pipes, overflowing toilets, and major leaks need attention quickly.
If something urgent happens, call and we’ll do our best to get a plumber out as soon as possible to stop the damage and get things under control.
It depends on where you’re located and what the schedule looks like that day.
Because we’re based in Logan, we’re already working in the surrounding suburbs most days. That means many jobs can be booked the same day, especially if you’re nearby.
For urgent problems like burst pipes, major leaks, or overflowing toilets, our priority is getting someone out quickly to stop the damage.
The best thing to do is give us a call, explain what’s happening, and we’ll let you know how soon we can get a plumber out to you.
Yes – 24/7, answered by a plumber. Isolate the water if you can, and if you’re not sure which valve controls what, say so; on properties with irrigation history that’s a common situation and we’ll talk you through it. Burst line repairs are our most frequent after-hours call here.
Usually well inside the hour – we’re close and through here regularly. Long driveways, gates and paddock access after rain are the usual delays, so mention them when you call and we’ll plan around them.
Munruben, Logan Reserve, Park Ridge, Crestmead, Marsden, Buccan and Jimboomba. The full list is on our service areas page.
24/7 including public holidays, priced the same as a weekday job – one fixed quote, no night loading appearing later. Rural travel is inside that number too.
Free quotes on most jobs and a fixed written price before we begin. On older properties with layered irrigation and stock water plumbing, we may recommend a short mapping visit first — it’s quoted separately, it’s inexpensive, and it makes every future job on the property faster and cheaper.
Card, EFTPOS and bank transfer, with staged payments on larger works. Everything is done under our QBCC licence and to the Queensland Plumbing and Wastewater Code, and where a job is notifiable or needs approval we handle that rather than leaving it with you – the Queensland plumbing laws page sets out where that applies.
If it’s connected to potable supply, almost certainly yes – and on properties with a market garden or turf farm history it’s frequently missing, because systems were extended over the years without anyone revisiting it. Without it, water can be drawn back into your drinking supply, which is a health issue as well as a compliance one. We test what’s there, tell you plainly where it stands, and quote only what actually needs doing. Backflow prevention is core work for us.
Yes, and on a property like yours it’s worth doing before you need it. We locate and trace lines, identify what each isolation valve actually controls, and mark it up so you’re not guessing at midnight with water running. On acreage with decades of additions, this is routinely the difference between a twenty-minute fix and a very long night. Our guide to spotting a hidden leak pairs well with it.
