Coombabah is quieter than its neighbours and its plumbing reflects who lives here. Alongside standard housing there’s a significant retirement and over-fifties village population, and that work has its own character: community-title approvals, shared services, accessibility fixtures, thermostatic mixing valves that need servicing on schedule, and residents who — reasonably — want to be told what something costs and why before anyone starts. We work that way as a matter of course.
Geography adds the rest. The suburb wraps around Coombabah Lake and its wetlands, so the water table is high, ground is sandy, and salt influence off the Broadwater is close enough to shorten the life of copper, brass fittings and hot water anodes. Leaks disperse instead of pooling, which makes detection genuinely skilled work here. We’re through Biggera Waters, Runaway Bay, Arundel and Helensvale regularly.

You approve the price before we pick up a tool. No hourly meter running, no bill shock.
A real person answers after hours, not a call centre that books you in for next week.

Really happy with Do Some Plumbing’s work on our bathroom renovation. They were knowledgeable and experienced, prompt and reliable. Great communication. Great care was taken by Dan to achieve what we wanted. We’re so happy with our bathroom and would recommend Do Some Plumbing for any plumbing needs

My experience with Do Some Plumbing was extremely satisfying. Adam took the trouble to research my unusual plumbing requirements, and he and Ethan had the job completed in a very short time. It is worth noting that I had contacted very many plumbers over a period of 5 months, and none was interested in undertaking the work. I cannot speak highly enough of their customer service standards.

I have a really simple expectation when I hire any tradesman. Show up when you say. Explain the method and the risks of the task. Communicate as needed. Complete the task. Leave my property in the same condition or better than you found it.
Every time the guys showed up they did exactly that, and made no fuss at all about doing the work. They didn’t inflate the difficulty to justify the cost, and were completely honest the whole time.
I would gladly recommend them to anyone.

Tell us what's going on, we answer 24/7 for emergencies.
We quote before we start, you approve the cost, no surprises later.
Licensed local plumbers fix it fast and leave your place clean.

You’ll know before we start. Every job is quoted as a fixed price in writing – no hourly meter, no call-out fee, and no after-hours loading appearing at the end. A tap, a hot water changeover, a blocked drain and a concealed leak are priced differently and all priced up front.
Quotes are free with no obligation, and we’ll explain what the work involves in plain terms rather than jargon. If a village manager or body corporate needs to approve the job, we’ll write it up so it can go straight through without us needing a second visit.
Do Some Plumbing services homes and businesses across the Logan, Gold Coast, Brisbane & Ipswich. If you’re nearby, there’s a good chance we can get to you quickly.
If you’re not sure whether you’re within the service area, the easiest thing to do is give us a quick call. We’ll let you know straight away and point you in the right direction if you’re just outside our usual coverage.
Yes. Plumbing problems don’t always happen at convenient times. Burst pipes, overflowing toilets, and major leaks need attention quickly.
If something urgent happens, call and we’ll do our best to get a plumber out as soon as possible to stop the damage and get things under control.
It depends on where you’re located and what the schedule looks like that day.
Because we’re based in Logan, we’re already working in the surrounding suburbs most days. That means many jobs can be booked the same day, especially if you’re nearby.
For urgent problems like burst pipes, major leaks, or overflowing toilets, our priority is getting someone out quickly to stop the damage.
The best thing to do is give us a call, explain what’s happening, and we’ll let you know how soon we can get a plumber out to you.
Yes – 24/7, and a plumber answers. In a house, shut the mains off at the meter near your front boundary. In a village or unit, the isolation valve is often in a cupboard or a shared services cupboard, and if you can’t find it quickly, don’t keep looking – ring and we’ll guide you while we’re on the way. Our 24/7 emergency service covers both.
Usually within the hour outside peak traffic. In villages and unit complexes, telling us about visitor parking, gate codes and any access restrictions when you call genuinely saves time – that’s where the minutes go, not the drive.
Biggera Waters, Runaway Bay, Paradise Point, Arundel, Helensvale, Hollywell and Labrador. Full list on our service areas page.
Yes, 24/7 including public holidays, and at the same fixed-quote pricing as a weekday job. No penalty rate for ringing at night – which matters, because after-hours surcharges are close to standard practice on the Coast and rarely mentioned in advance.
Free quotes on most jobs and a fixed written price before we begin. We’ll also tell you honestly when something doesn’t need doing yet. If you’d rather have a second opinion before committing to a big job, that’s a reasonable thing to want and we won’t push against it.
Card, EFTPOS and bank transfer, with staged payments on larger jobs. And yes – we invoice village managers, body corporates and agents directly, with the scope written clearly enough to be approved without another site visit. Larger commercial and strata work can be staged.
It’s a valve that holds hot water at a safe, stable temperature at the tap – standard in aged care, healthcare and many retirement villages, because it prevents scalding. They have a servicing obligation on a set schedule, and a valve that’s drifted out of range is both a safety issue and a compliance one. We test, service and replace them. If your village or complex isn’t sure when they were last done, that’s worth checking. More on TMVs here.
Do the meter test first: turn everything off, photograph the meter including the red dials, wait an hour using no water at all, then read it again. If it’s moved, there’s a leak on your side. On sandy, high-water-table ground like Coombabah’s, leaks often show no wet patch at all, so the meter is more reliable than your eyes. The City of Gold Coast’s water leaks page explains the test and what allowances may apply.
