Logan Central is the civic and commercial heart of the city rather than a quiet residential pocket, and the plumbing reflects that density. Alongside houses there are units, duplexes and a busy shopping and services precinct, which means a single day here can take in a blocked stack in a unit block, a grease arrestor behind a shopfront and a hot water system in a family home. Very little of it is new, and the drainage under the older streets is earthenware and galvanised with the cracked joints and root intrusion that come with age.
It is also one of the most tenanted parts of Logan, so much of our work comes through agents and owners who need jobs done properly and documented clearly. We photograph the cause of every fault we attend, which settles the tenant-versus-owner question quickly instead of leaving somebody without hot water while it is argued. We are constantly through Kingston, Marsden and Slacks Creek.

You approve the price before we pick up a tool. No hourly meter running, no bill shock.
A real person answers after hours, not a call centre that books you in for next week.

Really happy with Do Some Plumbing’s work on our bathroom renovation. They were knowledgeable and experienced, prompt and reliable. Great communication. Great care was taken by Dan to achieve what we wanted. We’re so happy with our bathroom and would recommend Do Some Plumbing for any plumbing needs

My experience with Do Some Plumbing was extremely satisfying. Adam took the trouble to research my unusual plumbing requirements, and he and Ethan had the job completed in a very short time. It is worth noting that I had contacted very many plumbers over a period of 5 months, and none was interested in undertaking the work. I cannot speak highly enough of their customer service standards.

I have a really simple expectation when I hire any tradesman. Show up when you say. Explain the method and the risks of the task. Communicate as needed. Complete the task. Leave my property in the same condition or better than you found it.
Every time the guys showed up they did exactly that, and made no fuss at all about doing the work. They didn’t inflate the difficulty to justify the cost, and were completely honest the whole time.
I would gladly recommend them to anyone.

Tell us what's going on, we answer 24/7 for emergencies.
We quote before we start, you approve the cost, no surprises later.
Licensed local plumbers fix it fast and leave your place clean.

It depends on the job, and around here it often depends on what is behind the wall. A tap or a toilet is straightforward. A drain that keeps blocking, or pipework that has simply reached the end of its life, needs a proper look before anyone can put an honest number on it. We quote the immediate fix, and where a camera shows something structural we lay out the options separately.
Free quotes, no obligation, fixed prices in writing, nothing added at the end. For rentals and commercial premises we write the quote so an agent, owner or business can approve it without a second visit, which is usually what delays these jobs rather than the plumbing itself.
Do Some Plumbing services homes and businesses across the Logan, Gold Coast, Brisbane & Ipswich. If you’re nearby, there’s a good chance we can get to you quickly.
If you’re not sure whether you’re within the service area, the easiest thing to do is give us a quick call. We’ll let you know straight away and point you in the right direction if you’re just outside our usual coverage.
Yes. Plumbing problems don’t always happen at convenient times. Burst pipes, overflowing toilets, and major leaks need attention quickly.
If something urgent happens, call and we’ll do our best to get a plumber out as soon as possible to stop the damage and get things under control.
It depends on where you’re located and what the schedule looks like that day.
Because we’re based in Logan, we’re already working in the surrounding suburbs most days. That means many jobs can be booked the same day, especially if you’re nearby.
For urgent problems like burst pipes, major leaks, or overflowing toilets, our priority is getting someone out quickly to stop the damage.
The best thing to do is give us a call, explain what’s happening, and we’ll let you know how soon we can get a plumber out to you.
Yes, 24/7, answered by a plumber. In a house, shut the mains off at the meter. In a unit, the isolation valve may be in a cupboard or a shared services cupboard, so if you cannot find it quickly, ring us and we will guide you while we are on the way. Our emergency service covers houses, units and shopfronts.
Usually inside the hour. It is about as central as our patch gets and our vans are through it all day. For units and shopfronts, tell us about parking, gate codes or centre access when you call, since that is where the time actually goes.
No, and it is a common mix-up worth clearing up. Logan Central is a single suburb, the civic and retail heart of the city, with a postcode of its own. Logan City is the whole local government area covering everything from Springwood down to Jimboomba. We service both, and if you are not sure which you mean, our service areas page lists every suburb we cover.
Yes, 24/7 including public holidays, at the same fixed-quote pricing as a weekday job. For shopfronts we will schedule non-urgent work around trading hours so it does not cost you a day’s business, and that is quoted at the normal rate rather than an after-hours one.
Free quotes on most jobs and a fixed written price before we begin. In older buildings we will tell you honestly when a repair is a patch rather than a fix, and what the alternative costs, so you can decide rather than finding out in six months.
Card, EFTPOS and bank transfer, with staged payments on larger works, and we invoice agents, owners and businesses directly. Trade waste discharge from a commercial premises is regulated and needs approval and appropriate pre-treatment. Logan City Council sets out the requirements on its trade waste page and we handle the plumbing side.
Usually the shared stack rather than any one unit. Decades-old cast iron corrodes internally, the bore narrows, and what presents as one apartment’s blockage is the whole line struggling. Clearing it unit by unit treats the symptom over and over. We jet and camera the stack so the body corporate can see the real condition and decide properly instead of paying for the same call-out four times a year.
It depends on what you do, but the common ones are trade waste approval if you discharge anything beyond normal sewage, a correctly sized and serviced grease arrestor for food premises, and annual testing of any testable backflow prevention device by a licensed and endorsed plumber. A lapsed backflow test is a compliance issue, not just paperwork. We test, service and report on all three, and commercial plumbing is core work for us.
