Mundoolun properties are largely self-sufficient, and that changes the stakes on every job. Where a suburban house with a failed hot water system is inconvenienced, a Mundoolun property running entirely on tank water, its own pump and its own wastewater system has no fallback at all. When the pump goes, there is no water. Not low pressure, none. That is why we carry pump spares rather than ordering them, and why we will always tell you what a second point of failure looks like on your setup.
The rest follows from the terrain and the trees. Elevated blocks on the Tamborine side mean water pushed uphill over long runs, where pressure problems come down to pump sizing, pipe diameter and friction loss rather than anything simple. Heavy tree cover fouls gutters, first-flush diverters and tank inlets faster than most people expect, and storms bring limbs down on tanks and above-ground lines. We are through Cedar Vale, Woodhill and Jimboomba constantly.

You approve the price before we pick up a tool. No hourly meter running, no bill shock.
A real person answers after hours, not a call centre that books you in for next week.

My experience with Do Some Plumbing was extremely satisfying. Adam took the trouble to research my unusual plumbing requirements, and he and Ethan had the job completed in a very short time. It is worth noting that I had contacted very many plumbers over a period of 5 months, and none was interested in undertaking the work. I cannot speak highly enough of their customer service standards.

I have a really simple expectation when I hire any tradesman. Show up when you say. Explain the method and the risks of the task. Communicate as needed. Complete the task. Leave my property in the same condition or better than you found it.
Every time the guys showed up they did exactly that, and made no fuss at all about doing the work. They didn’t inflate the difficulty to justify the cost, and were completely honest the whole time.
I would gladly recommend them to anyone.

Tell us what's going on, we answer 24/7 for emergencies.
We quote before we start, you approve the cost, no surprises later.
Licensed local plumbers fix it fast and leave your place clean.

The job sets the price, not the clock. Replacing a tap, rebuilding a pressure pump, correcting pressure across a long uphill run and locating a leak along buried poly are four separate pieces of work. Each gets a fixed figure in writing before we start, with the travel already inside it, so no distance loading appears afterwards.
Quotes are free with no obligation. On a self-sufficient property we would rather measure and diagnose properly than guess, because the wrong pump or the wrong assumption leaves you without water rather than merely inconvenienced. Where diagnosis is needed first, it is priced separately and you decide what happens next.
Do Some Plumbing services homes and businesses across the Logan, Gold Coast, Brisbane & Ipswich. If you’re nearby, there’s a good chance we can get to you quickly.
If you’re not sure whether you’re within the service area, the easiest thing to do is give us a quick call. We’ll let you know straight away and point you in the right direction if you’re just outside our usual coverage.
Yes. Plumbing problems don’t always happen at convenient times. Burst pipes, overflowing toilets, and major leaks need attention quickly.
If something urgent happens, call and we’ll do our best to get a plumber out as soon as possible to stop the damage and get things under control.
It depends on where you’re located and what the schedule looks like that day.
Because we’re based in Logan, we’re already working in the surrounding suburbs most days. That means many jobs can be booked the same day, especially if you’re nearby.
For urgent problems like burst pipes, major leaks, or overflowing toilets, our priority is getting someone out quickly to stop the damage.
The best thing to do is give us a call, explain what’s happening, and we’ll let you know how soon we can get a plumber out to you.
Yes, 24/7, and a plumber answers rather than a message service. If a line has let go, shut off at the tank or pump isolation valve, because a burst will empty a tank fast and can run a pump until it damages itself. Tell us about driveway access when you ring, since on some Mundoolun properties that decides which vehicle we send. Emergency call-outs here are usually pump or supply related.
Usually inside the hour from our Jimboomba base. Long driveways, gates and access after heavy rain are the usual variables rather than the drive itself. We will give you a window we can hold, and we understand that out here a plumbing failure is not something you can simply wait out.
Cedar Vale, Woodhill, Jimboomba, Cedar Grove, Tamborine, Beaudesert and Cedar Creek. Full coverage on our service areas page.
No. Cover runs 24/7 including weekends and public holidays, with both the after-hours element and the rural travel inside the fixed price you approve. The usual country experience is hourly plus travel plus a night loading, all revealed at the end. We would rather hand you one number on the phone.
Yes, free and no obligation. We measure actual pressure and flow at more than one point rather than diagnosing from the shower, because on a long uphill run the symptom and the cause are usually at opposite ends of the property. That often turns up a much cheaper fix than the one people expect.
Card, EFTPOS or bank transfer, with staged payments on larger work such as a tank and pump replacement, filtration or a wastewater upgrade. Mention it before we start and it goes into the quote.
The practical answer is knowing your system rather than buying redundancy you may not need. Know where every isolation valve is before you need it in the dark, keep the pump serviced annually rather than waiting for it to fail, and understand roughly how many days of water your tank holds at your normal usage so a dry spell does not surprise you. Most emergency pump call-outs we attend out here were entirely preventable at the annual service.
On a heavily treed block, usually organic matter. Leaf litter getting past the gutters into the tank breaks down and affects taste and quality, and sediment building up in the bottom makes it worse over time. First-flush diverters, inlet screens, gutter guards and periodic tank cleaning are the practical fixes, and filtration handles what is left. Queensland Health’s drinking water guidance is worth reading when a tank is your only supply.
