Norwell is working farmland on low river flats, and the plumbing reflects that rather than suburban life. Alongside houses there is genuine agricultural infrastructure: stock water lines, troughs, shed and dairy plumbing, irrigation, and tanks and pumps carrying the load where reticulated services do not reach. On properties this size a leak is measured in weeks before anyone notices, because nothing is visible and the first sign is usually a water bill or a patch of paddock that is greener than it should be.
Flood exposure is a fact of life here rather than a hypothetical. When the rivers come up, the work afterwards is silted gullies, waterlogged pump housings, tanks that have taken floodwater and on-site wastewater systems needing pumping out and re-commissioning, in that order. We work this whole pocket, including Jacobs Well, Gilberton and Stapylton.

You approve the price before we pick up a tool. No hourly meter running, no bill shock.
A real person answers after hours, not a call centre that books you in for next week.

My experience with Do Some Plumbing was extremely satisfying. Adam took the trouble to research my unusual plumbing requirements, and he and Ethan had the job completed in a very short time. It is worth noting that I had contacted very many plumbers over a period of 5 months, and none was interested in undertaking the work. I cannot speak highly enough of their customer service standards.

I have a really simple expectation when I hire any tradesman. Show up when you say. Explain the method and the risks of the task. Communicate as needed. Complete the task. Leave my property in the same condition or better than you found it.
Every time the guys showed up they did exactly that, and made no fuss at all about doing the work. They didn’t inflate the difficulty to justify the cost, and were completely honest the whole time.
I would gladly recommend them to anyone.

Tell us what's going on, we answer 24/7 for emergencies.
We quote before we start, you approve the cost, no surprises later.
Licensed local plumbers fix it fast and leave your place clean.

There is no standard figure on working farmland and it would be dishonest to quote one down the phone. A tap, a pump rebuild, a trough line repair and a leak traced across a paddock are four different jobs. Each gets a fixed price in writing before we start, with travel already inside it, so no country surcharge lands on the invoice later.
Quotes are free and carry no obligation. Where the fault has to be found before it can be priced honestly, we quote the investigation separately, tell you exactly what we found, then quote the repair, and you approve each step.
Do Some Plumbing services homes and businesses across the Logan, Gold Coast, Brisbane & Ipswich. If you’re nearby, there’s a good chance we can get to you quickly.
If you’re not sure whether you’re within the service area, the easiest thing to do is give us a quick call. We’ll let you know straight away and point you in the right direction if you’re just outside our usual coverage.
Yes. Plumbing problems don’t always happen at convenient times. Burst pipes, overflowing toilets, and major leaks need attention quickly.
If something urgent happens, call and we’ll do our best to get a plumber out as soon as possible to stop the damage and get things under control.
It depends on where you’re located and what the schedule looks like that day.
Because we’re based in Logan, we’re already working in the surrounding suburbs most days. That means many jobs can be booked the same day, especially if you’re nearby.
For urgent problems like burst pipes, major leaks, or overflowing toilets, our priority is getting someone out quickly to stop the damage.
The best thing to do is give us a call, explain what’s happening, and we’ll let you know how soon we can get a plumber out to you.
Yes, a plumber answers 24/7. Shut the water off first if you can, at the meter on town supply or the pump isolation valve if you are on tank. If stock water is affected, say so on the phone, because that moves you up the list. Burst line repairs are our most common after-hours job out here.
Usually inside the hour. The variables are the property rather than the drive: gates, long tracks, stock, and paddock access after rain. Flag them when you call and we will plan around them instead of losing twenty minutes at your boundary.
Jacobs Well, Gilberton, Stapylton, Woongoolba, Steiglitz, Alberton and Yatala. Full list on our service areas page.
No. Cover runs 24/7 including weekends and public holidays, and both the after-hours element and the rural travel sit inside the fixed price you approve before we start. Nothing gets added at the end.
Yes, and it is a large part of what we do out here. Trough lines, stock water runs, shed and dairy plumbing, irrigation connections and the tanks and pumps behind all of it. If you are only being offered house plumbing, you are talking to the wrong trade for a property like yours.
Card, EFTPOS and bank transfer, with staged payments on larger jobs such as tank installations, pump replacements or a wastewater upgrade. Ask before we start and it goes into the quote.
Start with the meter. Turn everything off, photograph it including the red dials, wait an hour using no water, then read it again. If it has moved, the leak is yours. From there it is isolation testing section by section, then acoustic listening and pressure testing to narrow it down, so nobody is digging up a paddock on a guess. Our guide to finding a hidden leak covers the first steps.
It varies considerably across these flats, so it is worth checking rather than assuming. The City of Gold Coast publishes flood mapping you can look up for your own address. From a plumbing standpoint, the practical steps are keeping pump housings and electrical components above the level water has previously reached, clearing gullies and stormwater before the wet rather than during it, and knowing where every isolation valve is before you need it in the dark.
