Alberton sits on the old cane flats between the Logan and Albert rivers, and that ground shapes almost every job we do out here. Blocks are big, service runs are long, and a leak in buried poly can go unnoticed for months until a water bill or a stubbornly green patch of paddock gives it away. Plenty of properties sit outside reticulated sewer, so we’re servicing septic systems and treatment plants as often as we’re clearing drains, and tank-and-pump setups are the norm rather than the exception.
Then there’s water of the wrong kind. Alberton is low-lying, and when the rivers come up the aftermath keeps us busy for weeks: silted gullies, waterlogged pump housings, contaminated tanks and drainage that suddenly can’t cope. We cover the whole corridor around you, from Stapylton and Yatala through Gilberton, Norwell, Woongoolba and Jacobs Well, and we’re licensed for the industrial work in the estates on your doorstep as well as the houses.

You approve the price before we pick up a tool. No hourly meter running, no bill shock.
A real person answers after hours, not a call centre that books you in for next week.
QBCC licensed #15301995 and a member of Master Plumbers Queensland. Every job to code.
Fully stocked vans mean we fix most Logan jobs on the first visit, no return-trip fees.
We treat your home like our own, drop sheets down, boots off, mess cleaned up.
Our work is backed by a written guarantee. If something isn’t right, we come back.
Really happy with Do Some Plumbing’s work on our bathroom renovation. They were knowledgeable and experienced, prompt and reliable. Great communication. Great care was taken by Dan to achieve what we wanted. We’re so happy with our bathroom and would recommend Do Some Plumbing for any plumbing needs

My experience with Do Some Plumbing was extremely satisfying. Adam took the trouble to research my unusual plumbing requirements, and he and Ethan had the job completed in a very short time. It is worth noting that I had contacted very many plumbers over a period of 5 months, and none was interested in undertaking the work. I cannot speak highly enough of their customer service standards.

I have a really simple expectation when I hire any tradesman. Show up when you say. Explain the method and the risks of the task. Communicate as needed. Complete the task. Leave my property in the same condition or better than you found it.
Every time the guys showed up they did exactly that, and made no fuss at all about doing the work. They didn’t inflate the difficulty to justify the cost, and were completely honest the whole time.
I would gladly recommend them to anyone.

Tell us what's going on, we answer 24/7 for emergencies.
We quote before we start, you approve the cost, no surprises later.
Licensed local plumbers fix it fast and leave your place clean.

There’s no flat rate for a plumber in Alberton, and there shouldn’t be replacing a tap, re-commissioning a flood-affected pump and repairing a burst line halfway down a paddock are nothing alike. What we do instead is quote the job, in writing, before anything is touched, so you approve a number rather than watching an hourly rate climb.
Quotes are free and carry no obligation. Travel to a rural block is already inside the price you approve, so there’s no distance surcharge appearing at the bottom of the invoice. Where the fault has to be found before it can be priced, a hidden leak, an underperforming wastewater system, we quote the investigation first, tell you what we’ve found, then quote the repair.
Do Some Plumbing services homes and businesses across the Logan, Gold Coast, Brisbane & Ipswich. If you’re nearby, there’s a good chance we can get to you quickly.
If you’re not sure whether you’re within the service area, the easiest thing to do is give us a quick call. We’ll let you know straight away and point you in the right direction if you’re just outside our usual coverage.
Yes. Plumbing problems don’t always happen at convenient times. Burst pipes, overflowing toilets, and major leaks need attention quickly.
If something urgent happens, call and we’ll do our best to get a plumber out as soon as possible to stop the damage and get things under control.
It depends on where you’re located and what the schedule looks like that day.
Because we’re based in Logan, we’re already working in the surrounding suburbs most days. That means many jobs can be booked the same day, especially if you’re nearby.
For urgent problems like burst pipes, major leaks, or overflowing toilets, our priority is getting someone out quickly to stop the damage.
The best thing to do is give us a call, explain what’s happening, and we’ll let you know how soon we can get a plumber out to you.
Yes a plumber answers, not a message service, any hour of any day. Before you call, shut the water off if you can: at the meter if you’re on town supply, or at the tank isolation valve if you’re not. On a rural block a burst line will empty a tank while you’re waiting. Then tell us what you’re seeing and we’ll load the right gear. Emergency call-outs here are as often pump failures as burst mains.
Usually inside the hour. We’re based at Jimboomba and through this corridor constantly, so it’s rarely a long dispatch. What changes the number is the property itself long driveways, locked gates, dogs, and paddock access after wet weather. Mention it on the phone and we’ll allow for it rather than sitting at your fence. We’ll give you a window we can actually hold.
Both, and they’re a big part of our week out this way. Houses, acreage, sheds, farms and the warehousing and manufacturing through Yatala and Stapylton we hold the licensing for all of it, including civil and industrial work. Norwell, Woongoolba, Jacobs Well and Steiglitz are all in range. Full coverage is on our service areas page.
No nothing gets added after the fact. Emergency cover runs 24/7 including weekends and public holidays, and the after-hours element is already priced into the fixed quote you approve. The usual rural experience is an hourly rate plus travel plus a night loading, none of which you see until the invoice. We’d rather hand you one number on the phone.
Free, no-obligation quotes, and a fixed written price before we start. Rural work has one honest caveat: on big blocks, finding the fault often is the job. So we price the diagnostic, report what’s actually wrong, then price the repair you approve each step. If your bill has jumped and you’re not sure why, our guide to finding a hidden leak is a good first move.
Card, EFTPOS or bank transfer. Bigger jobs tank installations, pump and wastewater replacements, bathroom work can be staged against milestones if you’d rather not settle it all at the end; ask before we start and it goes in the quote. All work is under QBCC licence 15301995, which you can verify on the QBCC licensee register.
More than most people expect. Submerged pump motors and switchboards need testing before they’re run, on-site wastewater systems often need pumping out and re-commissioning, gullies and stormwater lines silt up, and rainwater tanks that took floodwater shouldn’t be used for drinking until they’ve been cleaned and tested. We work through it in that order. The City of Gold Coast’s flood maps are worth a look if you’re unsure how exposed your block is, and their flood preparation guidance covers what to do before the next one.
Yes. Most on-site wastewater problems we’re called to aren’t a failed system — they’re a household that’s outgrown what was installed, a pump that’s died, or servicing that’s lapsed. We’ll test it properly and tell you honestly whether it’s a repair or a rethink, rather than quoting a replacement first. Ongoing drainage and wastewater work is part of what we do out here.
