Bahrs Scrub is hilly, and the terrain drives most of the plumbing work here. Homes are cut into slopes, which means retaining walls, split levels, long stormwater runs and drainage that has to be right the first time because on a gradient, water that isn’t managed properly doesn’t pool politely, it finds the lowest point on your neighbour’s side of the fence. Undersized or poorly connected downpipes and surface drains are behind a good share of what we get called to after heavy rain.
The housing is mostly recent, so the fault profile skews new-build rather than worn-out: handover defects, waste lines laid with marginal fall, shower joins that were never properly sealed, and hot water systems sized to a builder’s budget rather than the household. Reactive clay through this pocket moves with every wet-dry cycle and puts steady stress on slab penetrations. We’re across Windaroo, Bannockburn, Belivah and Beenleigh daily.

You approve the price before we pick up a tool. No hourly meter running, no bill shock.
A real person answers after hours, not a call centre that books you in for next week.

My experience with Do Some Plumbing was extremely satisfying. Adam took the trouble to research my unusual plumbing requirements, and he and Ethan had the job completed in a very short time. It is worth noting that I had contacted very many plumbers over a period of 5 months, and none was interested in undertaking the work. I cannot speak highly enough of their customer service standards.

I have a really simple expectation when I hire any tradesman. Show up when you say. Explain the method and the risks of the task. Communicate as needed. Complete the task. Leave my property in the same condition or better than you found it.
Every time the guys showed up they did exactly that, and made no fuss at all about doing the work. They didn’t inflate the difficulty to justify the cost, and were completely honest the whole time.
I would gladly recommend them to anyone.

Tell us what's going on, we answer 24/7 for emergencies.
We quote before we start, you approve the cost, no surprises later.
Licensed local plumbers fix it fast and leave your place clean.

It comes down to the job in front of us a leaking mixer and a stormwater redesign on a sloping block aren’t in the same universe. We price the work, not the hour, and you get that price in writing before anything starts. Nothing gets added afterwards, and there’s no call-out fee hiding at the bottom of the invoice.
Quotes are free with no obligation. One thing specific to this area: because most homes here are relatively new, we’ll tell you plainly when a fault looks like a construction defect worth pursuing with your builder rather than a repair you should be paying us for. We’d rather give you that assessment for nothing.
Do Some Plumbing services homes and businesses across the Logan, Gold Coast, Brisbane & Ipswich. If you’re nearby, there’s a good chance we can get to you quickly.
If you’re not sure whether you’re within the service area, the easiest thing to do is give us a quick call. We’ll let you know straight away and point you in the right direction if you’re just outside our usual coverage.
Yes. Plumbing problems don’t always happen at convenient times. Burst pipes, overflowing toilets, and major leaks need attention quickly.
If something urgent happens, call and we’ll do our best to get a plumber out as soon as possible to stop the damage and get things under control.
It depends on where you’re located and what the schedule looks like that day.
Because we’re based in Logan, we’re already working in the surrounding suburbs most days. That means many jobs can be booked the same day, especially if you’re nearby.
For urgent problems like burst pipes, major leaks, or overflowing toilets, our priority is getting someone out quickly to stop the damage.
The best thing to do is give us a call, explain what’s happening, and we’ll let you know how soon we can get a plumber out to you.
Yes, 24/7, and we’re close Bahrs Scrub is a short run for us. If water is running, turn it off at the meter near your front boundary before you call; on a sloping block, water travels fast and does more damage than it would on the flat. Then ring and we’ll be on our way. Burst pipe repairs are our most common after-hours call here.
Usually well within the hour. The practical hold-up here isn’t distance, it’s finding the place steep streets, similar-looking houses and battle-axe driveways. A cross street or a landmark when you call genuinely saves time at our end.
All of it Bahrs Scrub, Windaroo, Bannockburn, Belivah, Mount Warren Park, Beenleigh and Wolffdene. We’re through this pocket constantly rather than treating it as an outlying run. Full list on our service areas page.
All three, and priced the same as a weekday job one fixed quote, no night loading appearing later. Plenty of Bahrs Scrub households are out during the day, so a lot of our work here happens after five or on a Saturday. That’s normal for us, not an exception.
Free quotes on most jobs, and a fixed written price before we begin. On drainage work on a slope we’ll usually want to see it in the rain, or at least trace where water actually goes, before quoting a guess on a gradient is worse than no quote at all. It’s a short visit and it’s free.
Card, EFTPOS and bank transfer, with staged payments available on bigger work like a full stormwater and drainage rework. Everything is done under our QBCC licence and to the Queensland Plumbing and Wastewater Code, and where a job is notifiable we handle that paperwork rather than leaving it with you. The Queensland plumbing laws page sets out what needs approval.
Usually, yes — and on a sloping block it’s worth taking seriously rather than living with. The common causes are downpipes discharging to the surface instead of into a connected line, surface drains that were undersized for the catchment above them, and retaining wall drainage that was never properly tied into the stormwater system. All three are fixable. Left alone, the water eventually finds the slab or the footings, which is a much more expensive conversation.
Often, no. Waste lines with too little fall, unsealed wet-area joins, unadjusted mixers and undersized hot water are defects rather than wear, and on a young house they’re worth documenting. We’ll inspect it, tell you which category it’s in, and put it in writing so you’ve got something to take to your builder. If you’d rather we simply fixed it, we can — but you should know which one you’re paying for. The QBCC’s regulated plumbing work guide is useful background.
